Oriental Rojak, also known as Dong Fang, is a dedicated rojak stall at Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre that has been satisfying cravings for this distinctive Singapore salad since its days at the old hawker centre. The stall's single-minded focus on rojak has made it a specialist in the truest sense. The menu offers rojak in various portion sizes, allowing customers to build their plate with classic ingredients such as toasted tau pok, crispy you tiao, juicy pineapple, crunchy cucumber, and century egg. The tau pok and you tiao are grilled to order before being chopped and tossed in a thick, sweet-savoury prawn paste sauce. Dried cuttlefish can be added for an extra layer of umami. This rojak place is run by an elderly couple. We ordered one $4 rojak and two $1.20 tofu puffs. The prices were reasonable. The portions were small overall, but the food looked fresh and crispy. The flavor was okay, though we preferred a crispier texture. A longer grill would have been better.
