Succulent soy sauce chicken served over rice or springy noodles at a Jurong hawker gem.
Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle at Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre is a humble hawker stall that has mastered the art of perfectly poached soy sauce chicken. Each bird is marinated and cooked until the skin glistens with a deep amber hue, yielding tender meat that carries a delicate balance of salty and sweet. Diners can choose to enjoy it over fragrant rice or with springy wanton noodles, both of which soak up the luscious house-made sauce beautifully. The stall keeps things simple, focusing on consistency and generous portions rather than flashy presentation. Alongside the signature chicken, you will find comforting noodle soups and side dishes that round out a satisfying meal. It is the sort of place that rewards the curious foodie willing to venture beyond mall dining for an authentic taste of Hong Kong-style hawker fare. Next time you are in the Taman Jurong neighbourhood, queue up for a plate of this beloved soy sauce chicken. It is a quiet standout that speaks volumes through flavour alone.
Soya Sauce Chicken Hor Fun taste good. The chicken breast meat is tender and soft beyond my expectation. However hor fun was out of my expectation. I was expecting the slim kind of hor fun like Ipoh hor fun. Char Siew Noodle are both good. The portion of meat for $4 is good. The soup can be better.
FoodieDirectory
Generous portions of tender chicken. However the chicken lacked a deeper taste. Noodles were springy but too little. Roast pork lacked flavour too. Soup was the only thing with flavour.

Have been their fan for years but standard dropped. Their $4.50 portion used to be drumstick meat, but now is all breast meat. Furthermore, they allow their regulars to cut queue to do large takeaway orders.

I usually post when something is good and keep quiet when it's just mediocre but today's lunch was EXCEPTIONAL! …
