Traditional Teochew sweet potato porridge stall at Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre.
Fan Shu Zhou is a beloved hawker stall at Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre that champions a comforting Teochew tradition: sweet potato porridge. The porridge is simmered in a massive clay vat until the sweet potatoes lend their natural sweetness to the rice, creating a hearty, warming bowl that pairs beautifully with a selection of side dishes. It is the kind of nostalgic fare that transports diners straight back to grandmother's kitchen. The stall operates six days a week, drawing a steady crowd of early risers and supper seekers alike. Beyond porridge, a spread of cai png-style dishes allows diners to customise their meal with favourites such as braised meats, stir-fried vegetables, and preserved delicacies. The prices are gentle on the wallet, and the atmosphere is unmistakably local and unhurried. Make your way to Fan Shu Zhou for a bowl of old-school comfort in Taman Jurong. The stall preserves a treasured culinary tradition that continues to nourish and delight the Jurong West community.Based on 4 Google reviews
