Jurong Lake Gardens: What's On in July–August 2026

Jurong Lake Gardens kicks into its liveliest stretch of the year over July and August 2026, with a packed calendar that spans free guided nature walks, a dawn birdwatching session with the Nature Society Singapore, the monthly Bazaar in the Garden and a community Active Day hosted by Masjid Haji Yusoff. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a regular, there is a fresh reason to head down to the Gardens almost every weekend.

Guided Tour of Lakeside Garden South, 25 July, 9am (Free)

NParks runs its free public guided tour on the last Saturday of every month, and July's edition explores Lakeside Garden (South) on 25 July 2026 from 9am to 11am. The walk begins inside ActiveSG Park next to the table tennis area at the South Carpark, and registration opens on 1 July at 8am, spots are limited and fill quickly, so register early on the Jurong Lake Gardens website. Each tour is led by enthusiastic, knowledgeable volunteer guides who take you through the Gardens' vibrant biodiversity, designed landscapes and the architecture inspired by Jurong's rich history.

Birdwatching with the Nature Society Singapore, 26 July, 7:30am

The Nature Society Singapore (NSS) is running a guided birdwatching walk on 26 July 2026 from 7:30am to 10:30am, exploring the southern shore of Jurong Lake. The route takes in diverse waterside habitats, a freshwater swamp, naturalised streams and a grassland, alongside the planted gardens, maximising the chance to spot a wide range of bird species. The walk is members-only and capped at 20 participants, with registration closing on 19 July. Bring sun protection, water, rain gear and proper walking shoes, and wear light, appropriate clothing to prevent insect bites.

Bazaar in the Garden, 22 August

The monthly Bazaar in the Garden returns on 22 August 2026, taking place every fourth Saturday of the month with a mix of on-site and online activities. Mornings kick off with fun programmes like storytelling and games to learn about the Gardens' biodiversity, while afternoons feature speakers on a variety of gardening topics and craft, from growing edibles in a high-rise apartment to creating floral displays using kitchenware. MOLLY the mobile library will be on-site with a wide variety of books for all ages, so remember to bring your library card to borrow books. The monthly biodiversity tour also runs alongside the bazaar for those who want to learn about the rich wildlife that calls the Gardens home.

Active Day by Masjid Haji Yusoff, 24 August, 8am

On 24 August 2026, Masjid Haji Yusoff hosts Active Day @ Jurong Lake Gardens from 8am to 12:30pm, a community morning of nature walks, games and light physical activity for just $3 per participant. Two-way transport is provided, making it an accessible family-friendly option for the long weekend. It is part of a wider series of community-led activations that use the Gardens as a backdrop for wholesome, active gatherings.

Bazaar in the Garden, Every Fourth Saturday

Beyond the August edition, remember that Bazaar in the Garden is a recurring fixture on the fourth Saturday of every month, a curated gardening and lifestyle market paired with workshops, talks and the MOLLY mobile library.
